Sunday 7:00pm to 8:00pm
People throughout the Pocono region have been saying “I Love My Dr. Herman!” for many years.
Dr. Jan Herman made his first public appearance in Brooklyn and was raised there until his family relocated to central New Jersey in the early 70s. However, the family hardware business back in the Brighton Beach neighborhood of Brooklyn kept a fond stronghold on him throughout his childhood. After graduating from high school in Marlboro, NJ and then from Rutgers University in the mid-80s, Dr. Jan survived a full course of study at the Sherman College of Chiropractic in upstate South Carolina (with one eye set longingly on the northbound interstate the whole time). His first chiropractic office was in Doylestown, Bucks County, PA, during which time he also taught advanced science and math courses at a private institute for the education of those with learning differences associated with Princeton University. After that short but educational experience, it was on to the beautiful Poconos. During his almost three decades here, Dr. Jan has received a myriad of accolades from both the local populace and the national chiropractic community, built and maintained one of the busiest and most successful healthcare practices in the area, and even been voted “Best Chiropractor in the Poconos” by the people of the region in an online polling. One of his favorite pastimes has been guest starring on the “Gary in the Morning” show for the past 25 years.
Dr. Jan has always prided himself on questioning things that he encounters so that he can try and make sense of this confusing world in which we live. That’s what he tries to do in his weekly show, and he invites you to be a part of that investigation by calling in on the HEADline Hotline to share your thoughts, ideas, and comments. Among his biggest influences have been his grandfather, certain teachers he’s had along the way, and noted philosophers like Voltaire and George Carlin. Dr. Jan resides part-time in the Poconos with his wife, Teri. He raised his two daughters in this area, both of them having graduated from Stroudsburg High School. Dr. Jan is an extension faculty member of the Massage Academy of the Poconos. His practice is located on West Main Street in Stroudsburg, and he can be contacted there at 570-424-LIFE.
