Sunday 7:00pm to 8:00pm
The same year punk rock took over New York City and Elvis ate his last peanut butter and banana sandwich, in a little town called Shoreham, on the East side of Long Island, a guy we’d come to know as Gregg ‘Biggshow’ Larsen was born. Having grown up during a time when popular music featured many flavors, he enjoyed all kinds from Joan Jett to Run DMC to the orchestra music behind Bugs Bunny cartoons. Funny enough, it was during those Saturday morning cartoon viewing sessions as a kid that Gregg became inspired to play. After playing standup bass in school jazz band and orchestra for six years of his life, he started playing electric bass guitar in hardcore and heavy metal bands. In his 20’s, ‘Biggshow’ moved to the Poconos to work as an electrician for the next decade. During this time, a band was formed. ‘Biggshow’ played with Wisdom In Chains for 7 years. Playing shows everywhere from Boston to Baltimore to Great Britain to Greece, he spent years of his life doing what he loved best- playing and listening to music. Until one night while on tour in the UK his back gave out. With no choice but to head home, he walked from farthest end to farthest end of the airport in Rome, Italy only to find his flight would be delayed for the next 8 hours. He returned home with one heck of a souvenir- a back injury that would require him routine visits to the chiropractor. What he didn’t know was that he was about to meet someone who he’d actually come to know very well, someone he’d have countless conversations with over everything and nothing. Enter, Dr. Herman. Now here we are Inside Dr. Herman’s Head.
